For the first few days after the shootings the commentators drained every last particle of emotion from the terrible event. Then politics, sports and the antics of celebrities return. Newton becomes a statistic to be added to that ledger of killings. Efforts at gun control will be made but even if some part of those efforts (perhaps an assault rifles ban) is successful, murder and massacre will find their outlet, That is the human condition.
