A Chinese Translation of George Anastaplo, THE CONSTITUTION OF 1787

A Chinese translation has recently been published (through the Chinese Connection Agency) of George Anastaplo, The Constitution of 1787: A Commentary (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1989; still in print). There may be found early in that translation the Table of Contents for the 1989 volume, which seems to correspond to its original English counterpart.

The opening part of the Chinese volume is posted here. This material seems to conform, at least in parts, to the English original (but with the notes usually placed at the foot of the pages of the text rather than being collected at the back of the book). There seem to be appended, to this book in Chinese translation, two discussions of the 1989 volume published after its original publication.

Visitors to this website who can read Chinese are invited to assess the translations of various parts of this 1989 volume. Also inviting assessments are the prefatory materials evidently provided in this volume by its Chinese editors.
